Prof. Uri Ben-David elected to the Israel Young Academy!

Prof. Uri Ben-David is a member of the Department of Human Molecular Genetics and Biochemistry at the Faculty of Medical and Health Sciences, completed his PhD at the Hebrew University and his postdoctoral training at the Broad Institute of Harvard and MIT.
Prof. Ben-David was selected as a "Next Generation Star" of the American Association for Cancer Research (AACR) and as an EMBO Young Investigator. He has earned several prestigious prizes for early-career scientists, including the 2021 Cells “Young Investigator of the Year Award”, the 2022 “Krill Award” by the Wolf Foundation, and the 2023 “Kadar Award for Excellence in Research”. He is a recipient of the ERC Starting Grant.
Prof. Ben-David studies aneuploidy using state-of-the-art genomic and functional approaches. The work in the lab aims to uncover the basic biology underlying this hallmark of cancer, and to exploit it to target cancer cells and eliminate tumors.
