11 February 2026

On February 4th 2026  World Cancer Day, Cancer Biology Research Center (CBRC) had the privilege of hosting a conference that brought together leading scientists and clinicians dedicated to advancing cancer research.
On Behalf of the CBRC committee and the Chair Prof, Ront Satchi-Fainaro we  would like to sincerely thank our speakers (Asya Rolls, Tali Ilovitsh, Ofir Cohen, Leeat Keren, Yanay Ofran, Yaara Oren, Yosef Maruvka, Shai Rosenberg, Einav Gal-yam), who joined us from Tel Aviv University, the Weizmann Institute of Science, Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, the Technion - Israel Institute of Technology, The Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Sheba Medical Center, Tel Hashomer, and Hadassah Medical Center. Their scientific excellence, breadth of expertise, and commitment to cross-disciplinary collaboration highlight the strength of Israel’s cancer research ecosystem. I also thank all the participants for their active engagement and thoughtful discussions.

World Cancer Day serves as an important reminder that progress against cancer depends on sustained scientific investment, collaboration, and the translation of discovery into impact.
At Tel Aviv University, this mission is strongly embodied by the Cancer Biology Research Center which fosters interdisciplinary research to understand fundamental cancer mechanisms and accelerate translational advances.
We are grateful to our sponsors, Teva Pharmaceutical Industries and Merck, for their support in advancing cancer research and scientific dialogue.

We are grateful to the organizing committee led by Prof. Ronit Satchi-Fainaro, chair of the Cancer Biology Research Center CBRC and to MERCK and TEVA Pharmaceuticals Ltd. for their continued and generous support that made this event possible.

Thanks for joining us in this special event
