Congratulations to Prof. Anat Engel on Her Appointment in Tel Aviv University's New Promotion Track

We are pleased and excited to announce the first appointments in the new promotion track of Adjunct Associate Professor for Hospital Directors and Senior Physicians in key leadership roles in Israel’s healthcare system, as part of the Health Systems Management track at the School of Public Health, Gray Faculty of Medical and Health Sciences Tel Aviv University. This promotion track enables senior healthcare leaders to contribute their extensive practical experience to teaching, mentoring, and training the next generation of health system leaders.
We would like to congratulate Prof. Anat Engel, Director General of Wolfson Medical Center and the Sylvan Adams’ Children’s Hospital, on her appointment as Adjunct Associate Professor for Hospital Directors. Prof. Engel will continue to share her extensive experience with students in the Health Systems Management track at the School of Public Health, helping to train the next generation of healthcare leaders and to advance the teaching and research efforts at our Faculty.
Prof. Engel teaches the course on Global Health Policies at the School of Public Health. She is Head of the Department of Health Management at the Wolfson Medical Center, approved for residency by the Israeli Scientific Committee. She is an Internal Medicine and Health Management specialist, with a Master's Degree in Health Administration. Her fields of interest are health equity, social health determinants, excellence and compassion in medical care, medical professionalism, research, innovation, medical education, and leadership development. Prof. Engel promotes organizational collaborations in order to advance the global health ecosystem and to strengthen global societies. When not working, she enjoys bicycling, reading, writing, and family and friends, her favorite anti-burnout activities.
