Short Bio

Prof. Drorit Neumann is a faculty member at Tel-Aviv University at the Department of Cell, Developmental and Regenerative Biology, Gray Faculty of Medical and Health Sciences.

Her mainstream research for the last three decades has focused on the hormone erythropoietin and its receptor. She has a long track record of publications in the field of erythropoietin receptor pathways, including erythropoietin receptor signaling and metabolism and the function of this erythropoietic hormone as an immunomodulatory agent with profound skeletal effects.  

Her lab applies a range of in vivo and in vitro experimental approaches and models, with a view on clinical implications and translation, fostering valuable collaborations with clinicians, also introducing machine-based learning approaches.  

Prof Neumann was head of the Dr. Miriam and Sheldon G. Adelson Graduate School, Gray Faculty of Medical and Health Sciences, and is now serving as Dean of Student Success at Tel-Aviv University.
