First Graduating Class of the International Master's Program in Digital Health

The first graduating class of Tel Aviv University's International Master's Program in Digital Health celebrated the completion of their studies at a ceremony held on campus.

The program, the first of its kind in Israel and one of the pioneering programs in Europe, is part of the international DS4Health consortium. Offered through the Dr. Miriam and Sheldon G. Adelson Graduate School at the Gray Faculty of Medical and Health Sciences, the program connects medicine with advanced technologies and prepares graduates to lead digital transformation in healthcare.

A highlight of the ceremony was the presentation of student projects developed in collaboration with leading healthcare organizations. The projects were evaluated by a multidisciplinary panel chaired by Prof. Elhanan Borenstein, Director of the Alrov Center for Digital Medicine.

The winning projects were:

First place – Leah Rothschild
A digital application providing real-time support for nursing teams in emergency departments, developed in collaboration with Hadassah Medical Center.

Second place – Dr. Ethel Kovrin
An AI model for predicting early medical deterioration in patients with heart failure receiving hospital-at-home care, developed in collaboration with Sabar Health.

Third place – Dr. Itay Mani
A study evaluating a self-service station for measuring vital signs in community healthcare settings, conducted in collaboration with Clalit Health Services.

Prof. Hagit Eldar-Finkelman, Head of the Graduate School, and the program heads, Dr. Tal Soffer and Prof. Noam Shomron, congratulated the graduates and emphasized their role as the program's pioneering first cohort, turning its vision into real-world impact.
